This position is for a volunteer(s) at the Wartrace Creek Day Use area. Typical duties would be to staff the booth, greet visitors, ensure guests are using the VenTek payment machine, exchanging receipts for annual passes, and providing general information about the area to guests. Giving out water safety coloring books to kids and water safety items to adult visitors. There is potential (if the volunteer desires) to do light maintenance in the area such as painting or pressure washing. Once a month check the life jacket loaner stations and relay to Ranger staff if any are missing or in need of replacement. Most of the work of the position will be performed in an air-conditioned booth. You will have a call list with phone numbers to be able to reach staff.
