At the IYLCD, we believe in the power of personalized academic coaching to transform students' lives. Our program is designed to help students stay on track, improve their grades, and develop lifelong learning skills. We warmly invite volunteers to join our mission! By collaborating with us, you can make a meaningful impact on students' educational journeys. Our focus on executive functioning and study skills empowers students to organize their workload and cultivate effective study habits. If you’re passionate about education and want to help inspire the next generation, we would love to have you on our team!
Help us write and submit multidisciplinary, and multi-collaborative grant proposals, ranging in size, scope, and complexity, to a wide range of public and private external funding agencies and organizations, such as foundations, corporations, government, and other institutions. The Grants and Development team will support budget development, prepare grant and stewardship reports to corporate and foundation donors, and manage the grants tracking process.

Mission Statement
To inspire a generation of leaders in the face of poverty, poor education and socio-economic disparity; the Institute for Youth Leadership and Community Development provides youth with opportunities to advance their leadership skills through community service and education, giving our participating youth a sense of accomplishment, positive reinforcement and the confidence to achieve their personal goals and give back to the community. We help young people reach their goals and become the men and women they have dreamt of being. The more skilled and confident our youth, the greater the impact they can have on the community. They can become role models, as well as leaders who also inspire their peers. Our youth become highly educated men and women, gain financial stability, and are able to use their influence and resources to build a better community.
