Leaders for Youth Sports is collaborating with the YMCA of Greater Kalamazoo to host free sports clinic for elementary students from 2nd - 5th grade. The current dates and locatins are as follows
We will have several stations for kids to rotate through, are are looking for high school students to help manage these stations: Basketball, soccer, pickleball, hockey, lacrosse, and fitness. Please sign up for a sport you are comfortable helping out with! You will be instructing students on the basics of these sports, so please don't choose a sport you have never played before. There will be YMCA staff assisting as well. There will be 2-3 volunteers per station.More opportunities with LEADERS FOR YOUTH SPORTS

Leaders for Youth Sports is a nonprofit organization led by youth, for youth. We are committed to making youth sports more accessible to every child and inspiring young leaders to take charge in their communities. We value service through leadership, unity, modeling integrity, and inclusion in sports.
Description
Millions of children in the United States and around the world do not have access to youth sports. Whether it's the high price of classes, expensive sports equipment, or difficulty finding transportation, inequities in youth sports block too many children from pursuing the activities that they love.
Leaders for Youth Sports mobilizes young leaders to enter service work and feel supported the whole way through. Through our leadership program, we have a team of young Branch Leaders, coordinating Leaders for Youth Sports projects in their communities. Our Leaders conduct a multitude of different projects including equipment drives, equipment distributions, coaching clinics, and more. We've helped more than 700 kids, raised over $7,000, and reached over 10,000 people to raise awareness about the importance of sports. We are just getting started.
