Opening Minds through Art Heyman Interages Center The JCA Heyman Interages Center seeks volunteers this summer for an award-winning, evidence-based art-making program called Opening Minds Through Art (OMA). OMA is a failure-free program designed to provide older adults with opportunities for creative self-expression and social engagement. Volunteers support and build connections with JCA's Kensington Club members (older adults with early-stage memory loss) as they create abstract art projects that engage the mind and break through cognitive barriers. Volunteers must attend training, all art sessions, and art show. SSL hours are available.
Volunteer Training: Friday, June 27, 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM
Art Sessions: Fridays: 9:45 AM - 12:15 PM July 11, 18, 25, Aug. 1
