Mission Statement

Teaghlach Ranch is dedicated to offering a place of renewal and connection to foster, adoptive, and kinship families.

Description

2021 marked the beginning of Teaghlach Ranch. Founded by Mandy Sheehan in response to the critical need for support for foster and adoptive parents, we started with a simple yet powerful vision: to offer a place of renewal and connection for foster, adoptive, and kinship families. Recognizing the immense challenges these families face, we set out to provide a unique form of respite and support. We understand the increasing strain on the foster care system and the alarming rate at which foster parents leave due to lack of support. We strive to address this by our programs:

Weekend in Fredericksburg: Our flagship program, providing a 3-day, 2-night respite in Fredericksburg, TX, for foster, adoptive, and kinship parents.

Foster, Adoptive, and Kinship Family Gatherings: Creating a safe and welcoming space for sharing experiences, building community, and celebrating resilience.

Community Connections: Bringing together foster care agencies, support organizations, and churches to create a stronger network of support.

Caseworker Cheer: Connecting and supporting caseworkers through peer support, encouragement, and self-care opportunities.

While still a relatively young organization, we are proud of the significant impact we've made in a short time. We invite you to join us in making a real difference.
