Hospice Volunteers provide compassionate, non-medical support to patients and their families during end-of-life care. Volunteers offer companionship, emotional comfort, respite for caregivers, and assist with various tasks that improve the quality of life for patients.

  • Provide companionship through conversation, reading, music, or presence

  • Offer emotional support to patients and their loved ones

  • Assist with light household tasks (if appropriate)

  • Provide respite time for caregivers

  • Run errands or assist with transportation (as needed and allowed)

  • Support administrative staff with office tasks (filing, mailings, phone calls)

  • Participate in bereavement support or memorial services (optional)

  • Maintain patient confidentiality and respect boundaries at all times

  • Report volunteer activity and hours as required
