Volunteer Opportunity: Cooking, Food Prep, and Dishwashing
Join us in the kitchen and help prepare meals that make a difference! We’re looking for passionate and dedicated individuals to assist with cooking, food prep, and dishwashing for our weekly events serving the homeless community in Colorado Springs.
In this role, you’ll:
- Cook and Prep Food: Help prepare nutritious meals, including preparing ingredients and packing bulk food items to get them ready for distribution.
- Support the Kitchen Team: Assist with organization and ensuring the kitchen runs smoothly.
- Wash Dishes: Help keep things clean and ready for the next meal service.
No prior kitchen experience is required, just bring a willingness to learn and a passion for giving back. Your work behind the scenes helps ensure our events are a success and our guests feel cared for.

Description
Caring Matters Industries is a compassionate nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals and families who are facing hunger, homelessness, and emotional hardship. Our mission is simple: to provide nourishment, survival items, and emotional support to those who need it most. Over the past year, we’ve fed more than 1,500 people, distributing meals and essential resources on a weekly basis. In addition to our regular outreach efforts, we organize special events that bring communities together and offer hope to those struggling to make ends meet. Volunteers are at the heart of everything we do. Whether you’re helping distribute food, organizing events, or offering a listening ear, your time and dedication make a direct impact on the lives of those in need. Join us in our mission to create a stronger, more caring community-because every act of kindness matters.
