OnTrackNorthAmerica is searching for a volunteer Systems Administrator to help monitor and
develop our Mediawiki instance. This instance will be used to facilitate large-scale discussion
about the future of rail transportation and supply chain planning in North America.
A qualified volunteer will have experience with PHP and Linux, as well as knowledge of how to
deploy web applications at scale. Experience in Python scripting or batch/shell scripting for
automated tasks will be highly useful. Responsibilities include administration and maintenance
of the Mediawiki instance, management of user permissions and new account creation, running
frequent backups, and security monitoring. If interested, extension development is also a stretch
goal of ours.
In-person work at our office on 17 th and Sansom in Philadelphia is preferred, with remote work
possible.

OnTrackNorthAmerica is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit action think tank for expanding the capacity and footprint of rail transportation within an optimal system in service to the economy, environment, and quality of life.
OTNA's initiatives for whole-systems infrastructure planning are designed to: advance coordination and collaboration among industry, government, and community; lead the implementation of freight transportation land use strategies; reverse the decline of direct rail service and expand investment in rail transportation; and support the optimization of all transport modes within a balanced freight logistics system
