Position: Volunteer Content Creator
Reports to: Director of Marketing and Communications
Location: In-Office/Warehouse, hybrid, or remote
Commitment: Flexible, minimum of 5 hours per week
Compensation: Unpaid

Position Overview

We are seeking a creative and organized Volunteer Blog Content Creator to support our marketing and communications efforts in each of our locations -- Chicago, Denver, Houston, Kansas City, Nashville, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Washington D.C. This role is ideal for individuals with experience or interest in writing, social media, video production, and digital marketing. The Volunteer Blog Content Creator will work closely with the Digital Marketing Specialist and will report to the Director of Marketing and Communications to develop engaging content that tells the story of Project C.U.R.E. and compels our audience to take action .

Blog post assignments will be shared digitally and will vary from start from scratch or reformatting video content, report content, or emailed testimonial information into search optimized stories abotu the work we do.

Key Responsibilities Could Include:

  • Blog Post Support: Research, fact check and write engaging, search optimized blog posts about Project C.U.R.E.'s impact, volunteer stories, healthcare issues, and fundraising efforts.

  • Social Media Content Creation : Develop and submit posts for our social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, X, and LinkedIn.

  • Photography: Capture local events or group volunteering in the warehouse, etc.

  • Video Production : Create short-form , in warehouse video content for social media, website , and fundraising campaigns.

  • Email & Newsletter Content : Help draft compelling email campaigns and newsletters to keep supporters engaged.

  • Media Management: Organize digital assets for searchability and use

  • General Marketing Support : Assist with additional marketing tasks as needed, such as event promotion, donor communications, and website updates.

Qualifications

  • Passion for Project C.U.R.E.'s mission and global healthcare equity .

  • Strong writing and communication skills.

  • Creativity and ability to develop engaging and shareable content.

  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

  • Basic knowledge of video editing (e.g., Clip Champ, CapCut , etc. ) is a plus.
  • Experience with WordPress tools for content updates is a plus.
