Job Title: Volunteer STEM Program Affiliate

Location: Remote

Hours per Week: 4 hours minimum

STEM Canada is a registered not-for-profit global program that specializes in an advanced, bar-none STEM-based educational curriculum that emphasizes the interconnected subject areas of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). The STEM program is open to all students from preschool to high school with the mission to deliver top-notch STEM literacy and application, designed to teach students in the STEM fields, yielding globally competitive results.

OVERVIEW:

Do you have a strong interest in community involvement and STEM education? To increase STEM Canada's influence, work with academic institutions, and improve outreach initiatives, we are looking for committed STEM Program Affiliates. This volunteer role offers a special chance to encourage STEM education and motivate the upcoming generation of creative thinkers.

DUTIES:

  • Encourage and promote STEM Canada's STEM education programs in corporations, communities, personal networks, and schools.
  • Build partnerships with schools, educators, and industry professionals.
  • Take part in outreach initiatives to boost student involvement in STEM courses.
  • Encourage inclusiveness and diversity in STEM education programs.
  • Work together with the leadership group to improve the efficacy of the program.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Pair Affiliate honorarium
  • Passion for STEM Education.
  • Enthusiasm for outreach, mentoring, and STEM education.
  • Expertise in program administration, teaching, or educational leadership.
  • Strong presenting, communication, and planning abilities.
  • The capacity to work cooperatively with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of the most effective methods and current trends in STEM teaching.
  • Willingness to take part in networking and community engagement activities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
