The HR Committee Head oversees the Talent Acquisition and HR volunteers, providing guidance and direction for recruiting, hiring and onboarding of all new volunteers. The position also involves the development of training and development programs to enhance volunteer skills and knowledge as well as developing and implementing HR strategies, policies, and programs to support organizational goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to all HR volunteers ensuring they have clear directions, guidance and accountability; striving to meet and exceed weekly and monthly KPI Targets.

  • Provide professional leadership, support and development to all Talent Acquisition Specialists (TAS) and HR volunteers in order to increase knowledge, share best practices and to ensure that professional standards are met.

  • Manage the execution of the HR Strategy and core areas of the HR Team including recruitment, volunteer relations, volunteer engagement, reward and recognition, as well as maintaining and improving HR systems and management of the HR budget.

  • Ensure that the organization complies with current regulations, accepted professional standards, and data security measures.

  • Execute a plan for diversity, equality, and inclusion that aligns with organizational values, long-term strategies and professional commitments.

Required Time Commitment: 8 - 10 hours per week

Attendance at all weekly HR meetings and regular monthly board meetings (every 2nd Tuesday of the month).

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of HR experience and excellent knowledge of HR practices.

  • Vast working knowledge of all HR departmental areas, including reward and recognition, learning and development, recruiting, hiring, onboarding as well as HR systems and budgets.

  • Proven leadership experience in managing HR teams.

  • The ability to develop and maintain relationships across all departments.

  • The ability to lead the development of effective HR volunteer policies.

  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of regulations, accepted professional standards, policies, procedures and legislation (including legislation on data protection, the Equality Act and health and safety).

  • The ability to analyse and review HR data to identify trends and methods for improving recruiting and hiring strategies and practices.
