Location: Keaau, Hilo, or our dormitory in Kea'au, We have a large outdoor pavilion
Time Commitment: Evening /Morning sessions (between 5:30-7:30 and some mornings 10a-11:30am)
Group Size: 8 teens per session | Up to 4 volunteers per session
Are you an artist or creative individual looking to make an impact? We are looking for a volunteer to host an art workshop for teen girls in our mentoring program. Whether it's painting, drawing, or mixed media, this is a chance to encourage self-expression and creativity.
Responsibilities:
Plan and guide an engaging art session
Provide all necessary supplies needed to complete the project. (We do have scissors/and some makers on site)
Encourage self-expression and confidence through art
Create a safe and positive space for creative exploration

Project Hawai’i, Inc. is a volunteer-staffed, award-winning nonprofit dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty for Hawai’i’s homeless children. Operating on the islands of Hawai’i, O’ahu, and Maui, our mission is to empower keiki through education, mentorship, and life-changing experiences.
Founded in 2003, Project Hawai’i, Inc. is supported solely by public donations, allowing 100% of contributions to directly benefit the children we serve. Our programs focus on providing essential needs like food, clothing, and hygiene supplies while creating opportunities for long-term growth and success.

- Dormitory Program: Supportive housing for teens pursuing higher education, removing barriers to academic and personal success.
- Mommy and Me Program: Workshops and resources to help homeless mothers care for their babies, fostering healthier outcomes.
