We are seeking a passionate and organized Volunteer Foster Coordinator to play a crucial role in expanding our foster network and ensuring the well-being of dogs in our care. The Foster Coordinator will be responsible for recruiting, screening, and supporting foster families, ultimately enabling us to rescue more dogs and provide them with temporary, loving homes.

Responsibilities:

• Foster Recruitment:
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to recruit new foster families, utilizing online platforms, social media, community outreach, and other resources.
  • Create and distribute engaging promotional materials to attract potential fosters.
• Foster Screening and Onboarding:
  • Respond to foster inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Conduct thorough application reviews and phone/virtual interviews to assess potential fosters' suitability.
  • Perform home checks (virtual) to ensure a safe and appropriate environment for foster dogs.
  • Provide comprehensive foster orientation and training, covering topics such as dog care, behavior, medical needs, and rescue policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of foster applications, home checks, and training completion.
• Foster Support and Communication:
  • Act as the primary point of contact for foster families, providing ongoing support and guidance.
  • Facilitate communication between fosters, rescue volunteers, and veterinary staff.
  • Address foster concerns and resolve issues promptly and effectively.
  • ensure fosters have necessary supplies and resources, such as food, crates, and medical information.
  • Maintain regular communication with fosters to monitor the well-being of foster dogs and ensure a positive fostering experience.
  • Help match dogs to suitable foster homes based on the dogs needs and the fosters abilities.
