Volunteers United/AmeriCorps Seniors, a program of United Way, is recruiting passionate volunteers to help inspire the next generation. We are seeking dedicated individuals to assist with a 12-week Etiquette Program designed for children ages 3-5 in Martin County.

The mission of our partnering organization is to offer an affordable early-education program that promotes nurturing, education, and recreation, helping children thrive emotionally, socially, and academically.

As a volunteer, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of these young learners, guiding them through fundamental social skills and instilling lifelong values.

What You'll Do: Assist children in learning essential etiquette and social manners weekly in a fun, engaging way.
Topics include:
*Saying "Please," "Thank You," and "Excuse Me"
*Greeting others & making introductions
*Being a gracious guest
*Polite interruptions & covering sneezes/coughs
*Writing and expressing gratitude
*Review and celebration of good manners

Requirements:
Background Check
1 hour per week, for 12 weeks
A passion for engaging, encouraging, and praising young children
Patience, consistency, and standing during volunteer time
