Help us make a difference! Health in the Hood is looking for bilingual (English/Spanish) volunteers to assist with data collection during our food distributions in Miami. Volunteers will be trained to use PantrySOFT, our food pantry management software, to track the number of households served, collect basic demographic information, and ensure accurate reporting to improve our impact.
This is a great opportunity to support food justice, gain hands-on experience with nonprofit data collection, and learn valuable skills in community outreach. Spanish fluency is required to effectively communicate with the diverse communities we serve. No prior experience is needed, just a willingness to learn and an eye for detail!
We are looking for volunteers who would be willing to come once a month on Saturday's. Consistency is efficieny and creates a connection with the community.

Description
Health in the Hood is a 501c3 organization that installs and maintains community gardens in disadvantaged neighborhoods throughout South Florida. The communities in which we work have little or no access to fresh fruits and vegetables, comprehensive health education or organized exercise programs. By providing community gardens and health education in low-income neighborhoods, we are putting children on the path to healthy futures, giving parents helpful information and creating environments that support healthy choices.
