National Volunteer Week - Seedling Stewards

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: National Park Service

Join us on Wednesday, April 23rd for our Seedling Stewards Event, a special National Volunteer Week event dedicated to native plant conservation at Joshua Tree National Park! Volunteers will assist with nursery and herbarium operations, including transplanting seedlings, sorting and cleaning seeds, repotting plants, and cataloging botanical specimens to support restoration efforts.

The project will begin at 9 am and end at approximately 2 pm. Volunteers must provide their own transportation to and from the worksite at park headquarters. Training and supervision will be provided, and tasks may involve getting your hands dirty, bending, lifting, and working both indoors and outdoors in desert conditions.

Participation is limited. Volunteers must register in advance to receive a confirmation email with location details.

Celebrate National Volunteer Week by giving back to the park. Help us cultivate a future for native plants and support biodiversity of Joshua Tree! 
