Position Overview:

The Financial Operations Analyst will play a critical role in supporting the financial planning and strategic growth of SALA. This position is responsible for creating detailed Excel-based budgets, developing financial models, assisting in strategic planning, and ensuring compliance with nonprofit financial regulations. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of nonprofit financial management and strong analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, manage, and maintain comprehensive budgets using Excel, including operational, programmatic, and project-specific budgets.

  • Create financial models to forecast revenue, expenses, and potential growth scenarios.

  • Collaborate with leadership to create a strategic financial plan aligned with SALA’s mission and goals.

  • Prepare financial reports and projections for grant applications, donor presentations, and board meetings.

  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, providing recommendations for improvements.

  • Ensure compliance with nonprofit financial regulations, including IRS requirements and state-specific guidelines.

  • Assist in the development of funding proposals by providing financial data and strategic recommendations.

  • Provide guidance on financial risk management and sustainability planning.

  • Research relevant nonprofit financial laws and integrate compliance requirements into the organization's financial processes.
