Position Overview:

As our Fundraising Coordinator/Board Member, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing fundraising strategies to ensure the sustainability and growth of our organization. You will work closely with fellow board members and volunteers to secure the necessary resources to continue our life-saving work.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising plans, including donor cultivation, grant writing, online campaigns, and special events.
• Identify and cultivate relationships with potential donors, sponsors, and corporate partners.
• Manage and track fundraising progress, providing regular reports to the Board of Directors.
• Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to create compelling fundraising materials.
• Actively participate in Board meetings and contribute to strategic planning.
• Ensure compliance with all fundraising regulations and ethical standards.

Qualifications:

• Must be a resident of California.
• Minimum one-year commitment to the Board of Directors.
• Proven experience in fundraising, development, or related fields.
• Strong understanding of fundraising principles and best practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  
• Passion for animal welfare and a commitment to our mission.
• Experience with grant writing is a plus.
