This Opportunity is Part of United Way of the Midland's Volunteer Week 2025: United Is the Way!
Agency: The Cooperative Ministry
- When: Monday-Thursday: 2:00-5:00 p.m. | Friday: 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
- Where: 3821 W. Beltline Boulevard, Columbia, SC 29204
- Description: The Cooperative Ministry provides a 3,200 square foot clothing bank 'store setting' where clients can 'shop' for the free clothing they need for work and school. Volunteers are needed to reset the clothing bank each afternoon (and Friday morning) for the next day's client shoppers. There is a lot of standing. Service includes sorting, tagging, and racking clothes in appropriate places. A Client Confidentiality form is required of all volunteers. A Media Release form is optional. Volunteers are encouraged to bring a water bottle as needed.
