Bridging The Gap is partnering with the Ivanhoe Neighborhood Association for their 2025 Earth Day Festival! Saturday, April 19, 2025 from 11am-2pm at the Nutter Ivanhoe Neighborhood Center ( 3700 Woodland Ave KCMO 64109). Volunteers are needed to help with set-up and clean-up, to hand out composting kits to attendees and educate them on how to use them.
The Earth Day Festival is a cherished tradition in our community, bringing together residents, local businesses, and organizations to celebrate sustainability, environmental stewardship, and community resilience. This year, we anticipate an even larger turnout, with activities ranging from eco-friendly workshops and live entertainment to hands-on volunteer opportunities and family-friendly fun. Last year, in partnership with Lincoln University, we offered a native garden planting, live mural painting, an environment themed puppet show, community resources from different agencies and free lunch! It's free and open to the public.

Bridging The Gap (BTG) educates citizens, businesses and governments about the impact their decisions have on our environment. We help them follow through with direct action to make our world, region and community green, healthy and sustainable.
BTG does this by working to create awareness of our environment and the need to make our communities sustainable at every level and in all life activities -- in homes, workplaces, schools and neighborhoods. In all of our work, we seek to create partnerships among governments, businesses, community leaders and individuals to improve our community by making it healthy and sustainable for our future.
