You will be responsible for direct work in the Intiwawa community in the field. You will be working directly with the children and parents in the communities and assist with projects in the field of education, psychology or social work:

• Education: Homework support & planning and teaching English, Math and Communication classes to primary or secondary school students (10-12 students per class). You will also be responsible for planning lessons, materials and organization of your class. You will receive teacher training, monitoring and evaluation from our teacher trainer.
• Health: Workshops on different health & nutrition topics for children and parents.
• Strengthening of socio-cultural values: Planning & delivering extra-curricular workshops with a group of children on Saturdays.
• Parent Empowerment: Parent School, Madres Luchadoras project (women empowerment project).

• Conversational Spanish level minimum.
• Minimum 18 years old
• First experience working in an NGO is a plus.

• Minimum 3 months commitment

Details

• The position is full-time (30-35 hours per week).
• Monday-Friday from 1pm-6pm and 2 Saturdays per month onsite, planning time for lessons, and regular team meetings and group activities.
• Low-cost accommodation is available.

Serás responsable del trabajo directo en la comunidad Intiwawa en el campo. Trabajarás directamente con los niños y los padres de las comunidades y ayudarás en proyectos en el ámbito de la educación, la psicología o el trabajo social:

• Educación: Apoyo con las tareas, planificación e implementación de clases de inglés, matemáticas y comunicación a alumnos de primaria o secundaria (10-12 alumnos por clase). También serás responsable de la planificación de las lecciones, los materiales y la organización de tu clase. Recibirás formación, seguimiento y evaluación por parte de nuestro formador de profesores.
• Salud: Planificación e impartición de talleres extraescolares con un grupo de niños los sábados.
• Fortalecimiento de valores socioculturales: Planificación e impartición de talleres extraescolares con un grupo de niños los sábados.
• Empoderamiento de los padres: Escuela de Padres, proyecto Madres Luchadoras (proyecto de empoderamiento de la mujer).

Requisitos

• Nivel de español conversacional mínimo.
• Mínimo 18 años de edad
• Primera experiencia de trabajo en una ONG es deseable
• Conciencia intercultural y habilidades de comunicación
• Independencia, creatividad y responsabilidad
• Compromiso mínimo de 3 meses

Particulares

• El puesto es a tiempo completo (30-35 horas semanales).
• Disponibilidad de lunes a viernes de 13:00 a 18:00 y 2 sábados al mes en las instalaciones, tiempo de planificación de las clases y reuniones periódicas de equipo y actividades de grupo.
• Alojamiento de bajo coste disponible.
