ORGANIZATION: National Park Service

  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.

Check yourself before you rec yourself.

The Potomac Conservancy is looking for volunteers to help with their trash cleanup around the Anacostia Park Recreation Center on April 19! A place this popular and frequented means litter is abundant, and its closeness to the Anacostia River means that waste can easily enter and pollute it, harming ecosystems and wildlife habitat.

Meet with Conservancy leaders at the Rec Center at 9:00 AM, where you'll receive all tools, supplies, and instructions. The surrounding area has little to no shade, so please bring protective sun gear and plenty of water with you for the morning ahead.

Sign up today to join this event, and please also register with the Conservancy to confirm your attendance and receive further information. Spots will fill up fast, so act now!
