Help tell our story and expand our impact

The Academy for Precision Learning (APL) is a K-12 nonprofit school in Seattle serving neurodivergent students, including those with autism and behavioral support needs. We’re looking for a volunteer Website Design enthusiast to help us elevate our online presence, improve user experience, and make our mission shine through every click.

What We Need: We’re seeking a volunteer with website design experience-especially someone familiar with Finalsite, our current website platform-to help us:

  • Refine page layouts and navigation for clarity and impact

  • Improve accessibility and responsiveness across devices

  • Assist in updating images, calendars, or content to better reflect our vibrant school community

  • Collaborate with our Marketing and IT team to brainstorm and implement design solutions

Time Commitment:

  • Flexible: 2-4 hours/week, remote

  • Short-term or ongoing support welcome

  • Occasional virtual check-ins with our team

Who You Are:

  • Experience with web design; familiarity with Finalsite is ideal (but not required if you're a quick learner)

  • A creative eye and attention to detail

  • Passion for inclusive education and a desire to make information clear and accessible

Why It Matters:
A well-designed website helps prospective families, donors, and community partners understand who we are and how to support our mission. Your skills will directly support visibility, enrollment, fundraising, and access to services.

To Apply:
Please reply through VolunteerMatch and let us know:

  • Your experience with web design (and any experience with Finalsite)

  • Why you're interested in supporting APL

  • Your availability and preferred timeframe

We’re excited to collaborate with someone who believes in the power of inclusive education and strong visual storytelling. Thank you for considering this meaningful volunteer opportunity!
