Join the Pike Place Market Foundation for an evening to honor the community of workers, residents, and supporters who make historic Pike Place Market the Soul of Seattle! On Thursday, May 15th, we’re thrilled to celebrate the strength and resiliency of this community with Market dining options, engaging fundraising activities, and an inspiring programs.

Volunteers help make this event success! Celebrate the Market! will take place from 6-8:30pm, but a variety of volunteer roles are available all day.

7 Shifts

  • Thu May 15, 2025 - 08:00 AM to 09:30 AM PST - Spots available: 1
    Volunteers will monitor vulnerable entrances and exits to the venue and ensure that only staff and volunteers are allowed into the event.
  • Thu May 15, 2025 - 10:30 AM to 01:30 PM PST - Spots available: 1
    Volunteers will support the load in and out of event materials with support from Market Foundation staff.
  • Thu May 15, 2025 - 12:00 PM to 03:00 PM PST - Spots available: 3
    Volunteers will monitor vulnerable entrances and exits to the venue and ensure that only staff and volunteers are allowed into the event.
  • Thu May 15, 2025 - 01:00 PM to 05:00 PM PST - Spots available: 5
    Volunteers will support the set-up of the MarketFront Pavilion. This is a highly physical role.
  • Thu May 15, 2025 - 03:00 PM to 07:00 PM PST - Spots available: 2
    Volunteers will monitor vulnerable entrances and exits to the venue and ensure that only staff and volunteers are allowed into the event.
  • Thu May 15, 2025 - 05:00 PM to 09:00 PM PST - Spots available: 2
    Volunteers will take high-quality photos of event attendees, Foundation Board members, and fellow volunteers. Must have access to your own camera.
  • Thu May 15, 2025 - 08:30 PM to 11:00 PM PST - Spots available: 5
    Volunteers will support the clean-up and breakdown of the event. This is a highly physical role.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Most volunteer shifts are 3-4 hours. Water and snacks will be provided. Volunteers are encouraged to take breaks during their shift.
  • Please note which volunteer roles (event set-up and break-down) are highly physical. Highly physical roles will potentially include high amounts of standing, heavy lifting, and walking.
