About Us

International SEVA is a nonprofit dedicated to uplifting underprivileged and special needs children and their caretakers through education, nutrition, and intergenerational support. We provide educational supplies, meals, and hygiene kits to children in India and would like to start a Microgreens Project in Virginia that fosters community engagement and nutrition access.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Grant Writer to help secure foundation grants ranging from $75K to $350K to support our education and nutrition initiatives. Grant opportunities will be provided but on occassions you are welcome to research for funding opportunities, craft compelling LOIs and grant proposals, and work closely with our team to meet submission deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Currently have a grant opportunity and need help to apply.
  • Write clear, concise, and persuasive LOIs and full grant proposals.
  • Ensure grant applications align with funder priorities.
  • Work with our team to gather necessary program details and budget information.
  • Track submitted applications and follow up as needed.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in grant writing, preferably for nonprofits.
  • Strong research and writing skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work independently.
  • Familiarity with U.S. foundation grants is a plus.
  • Experience with education, youth, and nutrition grants preferred.

Compensation

We have a limited budget and are looking for an affordable, dedicated grant writer. Please provide your flat rate per grantor price for 3 grants when applying.

SHORT TERM GOALS:

  • Seeking grant writers, marketing, and volunteer support.
  • Generous funding from individuals, Corporations, Foundations to provide hygiene kits, meals, groceries and educational/craft supplies for underprivileged and special needs children.


PROGRAMS:

  • Provide much needed & deserved well-being, joy & comfort through educational, wellness awareness, advocacy, religious & social services.
  • Provide poverty relief & share local community-based services with commitment & unwavering desire to always serve mankind with passion, persistence & hard work whenever & however possible to live with inner/mental peace. Promote self-fulfillment and self-sufficiency.
  • With trust, respect & open communication: Team-up, collaborate & provide educational & nutritional support to Organizations with similar passions, goals.


ACHIEVEMENTS:

  • 9,733 Pounds food donated
  • 8,093 Number of Hot Lunches/Dinners Served & Healthy Snack Bags Distributed
  • 1,671 Clients served with custom care to uplift their spirit, relieve loneliness & anxiety
  • 5,370 Items (Household, hygiene kits, school supplies) provided to low income, homeless shelters to thrive, restore hope & promote self-sufficiency
