A Community Service Director plans, directs, and manages community service programs, identifying community needs, developing initiatives, overseeing budgets, and ensuring compliance with regulations, often working with diverse populations and organizations. Key Responsibilities:Program Planning and Development:

• Identify community needs, develop, implement, and evaluate community service programs and initiatives that promote social welfare, education, and community development.

• Oversee and manage program budgets, including allocating resources, monitoring expenditures, and seeking funding opportunities.

• Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate staff involved in community service programs.

• Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, residents, and stakeholders to foster collaboration and ensure program effectiveness.

• Identify and secure funding sources, including grants, donations, and sponsorships, to support program operations.

• Ensure programs comply with local, state, and federal regulations, and prepare reports on program activities and outcomes.

• Collect and analyze data to assess program impact and inform future planning and decision-making.

• Represent the organization and programs at community events, meetings, and presentations.

• Advocate for community needs and policies that support social services and community development.

• Coordinate with other departments, agencies, and organizations to ensure effective service delivery and resource utilization.
