About YEAH!
Hey there! We’re YEAH! (Youth Empowerment through Arts & Humanities), a nonprofit that’s all about giving underserved and disadvantaged youth the chance to express themselves through the arts. We run programs, workshops, and mentorships that help kids and teens tap into their creativity, build confidence, and develop life skills-all through the magic of the arts. And we need your help to keep it going!
Position Summary
We’re on the lookout for a Volunteer Grant Writer someone who loves storytelling, research, and making a real difference. Our programs rely on grants, and we need a passionate, detail-oriented person to help us find funding and tell our story in a way that gets funders excited to support our mission. This role is crucial to keeping YEAH! alive and thriving, and we can’t do it without you!
What You’ll Be Doing
- Digging into research to find grant opportunities that align with what we do. Writing compelling grant proposals that make funders say, "Yes! We want to support this!"
- Keeping track of grant deadlines (so we don’t miss any big opportunities).
- Gathering stories, data, and financial info to build strong applications.
- Helping us maintain relationships with funders and donors.
- Staying up-to-date on funding trends and best practices in grant writing.
What We’re Looking For
- A strong writer who can craft a compelling story.
- Someone with great research skills and attention to detail.
- A self-starter who can work independently but also collaborate when needed.
- Passion for arts education, youth empowerment, and social impact.
- Experience with grant writing is a huge plus, but if you’re a strong writer and willing to learn, we’d still love to hear from you!

Mission Statement
YEAH! Corps’ mission is to employ under-resourced youth, ages 14 through 18, through art & design, empowering them to be change makers Southeastern Massachusetts. Teens are paid an hourly wage and held to a high standard to create engaging, innovative, art + design products for businesses, municipalities, and individual clients. Clients pay real money for the creativity and products young people.During the important high school years, young people are developing life-long interests as they begin the transition into adulthood. They are hungry for community, looking for role-models of future success, enthusiastic to build skills through doing, and are passionate to have a real voice in the world. The learning is through doing - problems solved, resources identified, and everyone contributing - and the successes build self-confidence to thrive in school and beyond. Revenue is a balance of earned income from selling goods and services, workforce development funding and contributed support.
