Volunteer needed to provide a hospice patient with companionship, while also providing respite to their caregiver.
Caring Hospice Services has a patient living with a family member, who is their primary caregiver. This caregiver needs someone to spend time with the patient, while they run errands or just take a break.
You will not be expected to do any type of hands-on caregiving while with the patient.
There are many things you can do with the patient, including:
- Conversation
- Listen to music
- Watch TV or movies
- Read books
- Play games
- Arts and crafts
