Position Summary:

We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic Volunteer Social Media Marketing Specialist to help us amplify our mission and engage with our community. This role will involve creating engaging content, managing our social media platforms, and contributing to our online presence to raise awareness about digital equity and our organization's impact.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and curate engaging content (text, images, videos) for various social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn).
  • Schedule and post content according to a content calendar.
  • Monitor social media channels for comments, messages, and mentions, and respond appropriately.
  • Assist in developing and implementing social media campaigns to promote our programs and initiatives.
  • Track and analyze social media metrics to assess the effectiveness of campaigns and identify areas for improvement.
  • Research and stay up-to-date on social media trends and best practices.
  • Collaborate with the team to create visually appealing graphics and videos.
  • Assist with online community engagement and building relationships with followers.
  • Help create and manage social media advertising campaigns.

Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and their best practices.
  • Proficiency in creating engaging content (text, images, videos).
  • Basic graphic design skills (Canva, Adobe Spark, etc.) are a plus.
