Position Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Volunteer Grant Writer to join our team and play a vital role in securing funding to support our mission. The Grant Writer will research, develop, and submit compelling grant proposals to foundations, corporations, and government agencies. This role is crucial in ensuring the sustainability and growth of our programs, enabling us to expand our impact on communities facing digital inequity.

Responsibilities:

  • Research potential grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government agencies that align with our mission.
  • Develop and write compelling grant proposals, ensuring they are well-structured, persuasive, and adhere to grant guidelines.
  • Collaborate with program staff to gather necessary information and data for grant applications.
  • Maintain accurate records of grant applications and deadlines.
  • Track grant reporting requirements and assist with the preparation of progress reports.
  • Stay informed about current funding trends and opportunities in the digital equity sector.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in grant writing, preferably with a focus on social impact or technology-related initiatives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong research and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
