About Compassion Care Hospice

Location:

5250 Neil Road, Suite 210, Reno, NV 89502, US

Mission Statement

Our mission is to treat all those that we come in contact with (patients, caregivers, employees, referral services, vendors, and payers) the way we would like to be treated.

Description

Our hospice team - including community volunteers of diverse ages, racial-ethnic heritages, languages, faiths, talents and skills - provide hope by giving patients a chance to complete their life journey without being debilitated by pain and exhausted by futile medical treatments.

Meaningful and enjoyable companionship is provided by volunteers who offer a few hours per week by either running errands, sharing stories, reading books and magazines, recording Life Reviews as a gift to family members, singing and musical instrumentations, creating arts and crafts. It is of vital importance that each of our patients and every caregiver enjoy the time they have left with one another as loved ones.

One of our most valued programs is WE HONOR VETERANS. The patients in our hospice who have given precious time throughout the life journey, as well as their beloved spouses and offspring, deserve to be acknowledged for dedicated service to our country. We especially find it even more poignant when a veteran who served in a military branch overseas during a turbulent international conflict, is assigned a veteran who serves as his/her volunteer companion.
