Phoenix Hospice is seeking volunteers who can:
- Sew fidget blankets or crochet fidget toys for patients with dementia. Fidget blankets and toys help people with dementia engage in activities, leading to increased relaxation.
- Sew memory pillows and teddy bears using the shirts patients used to wear. These gifts are tremendously meaningful for their loved ones.

Phoenix Hospice’s volunteer program is looking for compassionate, caring members of our communities (Wichita, KS; Overland Park, KS; Springfield, MO; and Independence, MO) who are interested in hospice volunteering. Hospice provides comfort care and focuses on quality of life. Hospice is a benefit that is available to those who are facing a life-limiting illness. Hospice does not give us the power to shorten or prolong life. Hospice gives us the power to choose how we live.
