Want a volunteer opportunity that keeps you safe, while allowing you to socialize, connect and make a difference? Welcome to the Austin Steam Train Association family!
Every weekend we are proud to operate exciting excursion train rides into the Texas Hill Country departing from our Cedar Park Depot. An all-volunteer Crew, vintage train cars, and a vibrant health and safety plan make this THE place to volunteer in 2021.
History buffs, train fanatics, and customer service pros are needed to join our On Board Team as Train Car Attendants. Not a pro yet? No problem! Our simple training process takes place on board the train and gets you where you need to be while riding the rails.

Mission Statement
The mission of the Austin Steam Train Association is to preserve, interpret and re-create the first-hand experience of historic steam railroading for the enjoyment and edification of today's families and the generations to come.
Description
ASTA is a central Texas historical and preservation society that is totally run by volunteers. Among our achievements is the weekly operation of excursion train service in the Austin area as well as sponsoring community events. We are dedicated to bringing family oriented outings to thousands of people who visit the Capital area from all over the world.
