Walk For Wishes
Walk For Wishes is a Make-A-Wish fundraiser that celebrates the 500,000+ wishes that have already been granted worldwide while raising funds for future wishes. It's a family-friendly event powered by wish families, volunteers, companies, donors and friends!
When: Saturday, May 3rd, 2025
Where: Energizer Park (2019 Market Street, St. Louis, MO 63103)
Why: Each year, nearly 600 children qualify for a wish from Make-A-Wish Missouri & Kansas. The chapter hopes to take a step closer to our vision of granting the wish of every eligible child.

The volunteer jobs available are detailed out below:
Volunteer Job Description
- Route Marshall (40) Cheer on runners/walkers and help direct them along the route. Move barricades before and after walk to ensure proper safety for all walkers/ runners. Additional training will be provided. Volunteers will be required to lift more than 50 pounds.
- Route Trash Pick-Up (4) Follow behind the last group of walkers, making sure that all trash is picked up along the route through the finish lines

Description
There are several volunteer opportunities available within our chapter. To learn more about the volunteer opportunities listed below, please visit our website: Volunteer - Make-A-Wish(r) Missouri & Kansas
Wish Granting - wish granters meet with the wish family, help the wish child determine his/her one, true wish and act as a liaison between Make-A-Wish staff and the wish family during the wish process.
Translator/Interpreter - Help facilitate wish experiences for non-English-speaking families.
Special Events - Plan, organize, and implement successful fundraising events by working on event committees, helping out on the event day, and/or participating in the event.
Skill-Based Volunteers - Use your professional skills and knowledge in your own community to help with wish events and/or the wish planning process on an as-needed basis.
Young Professionals (St. Louis, Kansas City, and Wichita) - The mission of the Make-A-Wish Young Professionals is to provide a forum for young community leaders to enhance their professional growth, gain leadership skills, and practice civic responsibility while increasing awareness, encouraging volunteerism and raising funds for Make-A-Wish Missouri & Kansas.
