Mission Statement

Lindy Cares, also known as the Lindenhurst Community Cares Coalition, is dedicated to fostering a healthy, supportive, and vibrant community by preventing underage drinking, substance misuse, and promoting the well-being of youth and families. Through education, collaboration, and community engagement, we work to create a positive environment where individuals take responsibility for one another and empower each other to make informed, healthy choices. Our coalition is committed to building awareness, providing resources, and supporting initiatives that enhance the quality of life for all residents of Lindenhurst.

Who We Are
Lindy Cares is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on preventing underage drinking and substance misuse. We unite parents, educators, students, and businesses to create a safe and thriving community.

Our Mission
We provide awareness, education, and resources to empower youth and families, fostering a culture of health and responsibility.

Programs & Initiatives

• Red Ribbon Week: Promotes drug prevention with community events.

• Trick or Trunk: A fun, safe Halloween event raising awareness.

• Youth Leadership & Peer Mentoring: Encourages young people to lead and support one another.

• Workshops & Education: Covers mental health, substance prevention, and digital safety.

• Community Partnerships: Collaborates with schools and businesses to maximize impact.
