*We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, so you can earn court mandated community service hours with us*

We fundraise for our nonprofit, Power of Millennials, by operating concession portables at a major sporting venue in Cobb County, GA. This means that we serve customers food and beverages (for the most part we won’t be cooking/preparing the food), check them out on the POS systems, take inventory and clean the portable. This is a fun environment to be in because you're dealing with fans who are there to enjoy a great day out. As long as you arrive on time, all volunteers receive a free meal and beverage. The uniform is blue jeans with no holes or rips, no jewelry other than a plain wedding band, and black nonslip shoes. The uniform shirt will be provided to you.

All volunteers have to be 18+.

You have to get a Cobb county alcohol permit which is $30. We’ll reimburse you for the permit after you come volunteer at at least one event. This is just to ensure that we don't pay for a volunteer's alcohol permit that can't commit to volunteer. Everyone also has to attend an in person training. I will provide you with the dates if you are interested. You are required to have your state ID (or passport) and your Cobb county alcohol permit (that expires in 2026) to attend this training. If you aren't looking for court mandated community service hours, we have other opportunities available for interested volunteers. Please reach out to us to inquire about this.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide children with the resources and access they need to build and achieve productive futures, regardless of their socioeconomic background.

Description

We accomplish our mission by actively giving back to children in Metro Atlanta, NYC, and the international communities we serve ages 0-17 through our several events. Some of our domestic events are our annual Christmas experience, where we give an unforgettable experience and gifts to underprivileged children in our community, our back to school giveaways, and community resource fairs. Our international projects include our family aid project in Trinidad & Tobago, and our ongoing school reconstruction project, where we are rebuilding Christ Vision Academy, a school for 234 students ages 2-14 in Accra, Ghana. We are expanding the school to accommodate double the current student population, and create a lasting facility that students can receive a quality educational experience for generations to come. You can see read more about the impact we have on our website, Instagram, and Facebook. We’re looking for volunteers to help us fundraise and further our mission which will allow us to help more underprivileged children, and help create a better tomorrow for everyone and not just a select few.
