Mount Rainier Campground Hosts 2025

This is a full-time volunteer opportunity for the 2025 season. An RV site with hookups is included at Cougar Rock Campground. The White River Campground has a primitive site for the host.
Cougar Rock Campground: May 23-October 13, 2025
Full hookups are available for Cougar Rock. A commitment of at least 32 hours per week and weekend availability is required. Maximum motorhome length is 30 feet; maximum trailer length is 25 feet. Please include the length of your motorhome or trailer in your application. This campground has both reservation sites through Rec.Gov and First Come First Served sites. Also note that Mount Rainier is a remote, semi-wilderness location. None of our campgrounds have cell service or Internet access, though phone and Internet are available to volunteers at nearby ranger stations (with the completion of a background check prior to your appointment). Our season dates are from Memorial Day through Indigenous Peoples Day. Partial season assignments may be possible. Contact Nissa Mondahl at 360-569-6623 for more information.
White River Campground: May 23-September 30
A commitment of at least 32 hours per week and weekend availability is required. The White River Campground is a primitive campground, with a primitive site designated for the host. This campground is First Come, First Served with a picnic day use area. Please also note that Mount Rainier is a remote, semi-wilderness location. None of our campgrounds have cell service or Internet access, though phone and Internet are available to volunteers at nearby ranger stations (with the completion of a background check prior to your appointment). Ohanapecosh Campground is closed for renovation in 2025.
