We are Mentor A Promise, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing social emotional learning, academic support and mentorship to students experiencing housing challenges and homelessness in NYC. We are seeking a training coordinator to work closely with the tranining and report to the Director of Training.

You will:

  • Assist deliver live, instructor-led sessions online on topics related to orgnizational development, social services, engagement skills, and trauma-informed/resilience-informed approaches
  • Collaborate with Director of Trainings to schedule trainings
  • Use data to engage in outreach efforts
  • Collaborate on the development of role/area-specific training programs for new employees based on existing and new content and that supports our work
  • Make recommendations to program leaders about appropriate training sessions and skills
  • Serve as a collaborative member of the learning team by actively communicating, attending regular meetings, and working together on team projects
  • Other duties as assigned.

We're looking for someone with:

  • A passion for learning and training
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Creativity and an eye for compelling visuals.

We partner with family temporary housing sites across New York, educational institutions, and community organizations to create a strong support network for young people experiencing homelessness, helping them overcome challenges and forge their own path to success. We connect students with our mentors for in-person and online programs.
