ORGANIZATION: Idealist.org

Recruiting Organization: Sambhali U.S.

The funds raised by Sambhali U.S. are changing the lives of women and girls in Rajasthan, India. Born with almost no control over how--or with whom--they live their lives, they are finding ways to leap over barriers based on class, caste, and gender through the programs of the grassroots Indian organization Sambhali Trust. Our development team is proud to know the difference each dollar raised will make and honored to tell the stories of the women and girls of Sambhali.

Become an integral part of creating and implementing Sambhali U.S.’s annual development plan by:

  • Creating proposals and stewardship pieces for current and potential donors
  • Identifying and researching potential individual, foundation, and corporate donors
  • Developing email and social media campaigns
  • Grant writing
  • Organizing stewardship events

Volunteers will focus on one or more of the areas above depending upon experience and interest. Sambhali U.S. welcomes development volunteers looking to expand their skills into a new area of fundraising.
