Time Commitment: Flexible, based on your schedule
Description:
Are you looking for a meaningful way to give back to your community? Join our team as a Hospice Volunteer and provide comfort, companionship, and support to patients and their families during a critical time.
As a hospice volunteer, you may:
- Offer companionship through conversation, reading, or simply being present
- Provide respite for caregivers
- Assist with administrative tasks at the hospice office
- Support bereavement programs
- Make "Tuck-In-Calls" on a regular basis to ensure the patient has adequate supplies prior to the weekend or holiday
- Light housekeeping (washing dishes, doing laundry, vacuuming)
No medical experience is required - just a compassionate heart and a willingness to help.
Requirements:
- Must be 16+
- Complete a background check
- Attend a bried volunteer training session
- Display empathy, patience, and good listening skills
