Love is in the air this spring!
Volunteers are invited to join Shenandoah Rangers and Partners at the 4th annual Show Your Love for Shenandoah volunteer event. Volunteers will join forces to serve on an array of projects ranging from trail maintenance to painting. All participants will meet at 8:45am on Saturday, May 3 at Pinnacles Picnic Area, mile 36.7 of Skyline Drive.
Registration is required! Please email Corrina at corrina_wendel@nps.gov with the number of people in your party, if anyone is under 18 years old, and any movement limitations to register. Participants under 18 must be in the company of their parent/guardian or have paperwork completed by their guardian prior to arrival. The entrance fee to Shenandoah will be waived for all volunteers. Participation is limited, so please register early.
Important details:
- Volunteers will be assigned to projects based on their interest, group size, and mobility limitations. All projects require wearing closed-toe shoes, long pants that can get dirty, and layers. Tools and personal protective equipment will be provided.
- All participants should bring a water bottle. If you were a participant a previous year, please bring your Show Your Love water bottle so you can add a 2025 event sticker. All new participants will receive a Show Your Love water bottle and event sticker.
- A boxed lunch will be generously provided by the Delaware North Corporation at Shenandoah National Park to all attending volunteers. A vegetarian and gluten free option will be available.
- This event will be held rain or shine but will be cancelled by April 28th if extreme weather conditions are forecasted. The Show Your Love for Shenandoah organizing committee will be in touch with participants if the event is cancelled due to weather. If cancelled this event will not be rescheduled.
- Show Your Love for Shenandoah Day is brought to you by the following park partners: Appalachian Conservation Corps, Delaware North Corporation at Shenandoah, Potomac Appalachian Trail Club, Shenandoah National Park Association, and Shenandoah National Park Trust, in coordination with Shenandoah National Park staff.
Please feel free to reach out to corrina_wendel@nps.gov with any questions. Thank you for your interest in serving at Shenandoah National Park and for your patience with this new registration process.
