Bag It Up for a Great Cause!

Did you know the Kenai Peninsula Food Bank uses up to 200 bags every single day? With around 70 families visiting daily for TEFAP (The Emergency Food Assistance Program), our need for bags-plastic or paper-is huge!

How You Can Help:

  • Gather your extra bags (paper or plastic), quart-size plastic tubs with lids, or egg cartons.
  • Encourage friends, neighbors, church groups, and local organizations to join your collection efforts!
  • Drop them off at our location:

Kenai Peninsula Food Bank
33955 Community College Dr
Soldotna, AK 99669

Every bag donated means more resources go directly toward feeding hungry families.

Remember: "We feed people because nobody deserves to be hungry."

Thank you for helping us spread the word-and lighten the load!

About Kenai Peninsula Food Bank

Location:

33955 COMMUNITY COLLEGE DR, SOLDOTNA, AK 99669, US

Mission Statement

"Because no one deserves to be hungry", the Kenai Peninsula Food Bank, Inc.'s stated mission is to promote public awareness of hunger issues. We are dedicated to aid in the effort to eliminate hunger on the Kenai Peninsula by obtaining and distributing food to non-profit agencies. These agencies serve hungry children, families and individuals. The Food Bank further assures that no one falls short of food and prey to hunger by providing emergency food boxes directly to the hungry from our facility.

Description

The Food Bank is a non-profit organization founded in 1988, which provides food to over 63 non-profit agencies for their feeding programs throughout the Kenai Peninsula. Our food bank is unique because it has four different service programs under one roof. These services include a soup kitchen, USDA commodity program, emergency food program and a agency warehouse-shopping program.
