Peaceful Hearts participates in the We Honor Veterans program, where we honor our hospice patients who served in the military with a simple, ut meaningful ceremony. We could use volunteers who love to create blanekts - either fleece tie blanket style, knitting/crocheting, or even quilting to provide our Military Veteran patients with a gift of warmth, comfort and appreciation that is uniquely made with love and tenderness.
Peaceful Hearts is willing to reimburse the creator for the supplies needed.

Peaceful Hearts Hospice is dedicated to ensuring each client lives life to his/her fullest potential. Peaceful Hearts Hospice believes care should be focused on living, quality of life, and leaving a legacy for the future. Peaceful Hearts Hospice strives to get back to the original roots of the hospice philosophy by providing individual care with holistic options. Each client is actively involved in determining his/her care. Peaceful Hearts Hospice supports the client's choices by providing education on the expected terminal disease progression, as well as supporting the physical, emotional, social, mental and spiritual aspects of each client and everyone involved in his/her life.
Description
Peaceful Hearts Hospice is locally owned and operated by a social worker and two nurses who all have a passion for end-of-life care and experience working directly in the hospice field. Each client has the right to choose a hospice company that best fits his/her needs, and while there are many hospice companies to choose from, Peaceful Hearts Hospice strives to make sure all our clients feel cared for by providing hospice care the way it was intended. All of the staff at Peaceful Hearts Hospice have a passion for providing hospice care and to take care of our clients as if they were our family.
Our team focuses on modern medicine as well as a holistic approach to hospice care, giving our clients multiple options to provide quality and comfort based on individualized beliefs and needs. We believe education and communication is critical and we strive to keep all those involved in the client’s care educated on the disease progression as well as what to expect as the client declines. Not only does Peaceful Hearts Hospice value excellence in client care but we also take pride in treating our staff well, understanding the importance of self-care and appreciation for our health care workers who make all we do possible.
