Volunteer with Abandoned and Street Dogs
Location: Huancayo City
Overview: Join us in making a difference by volunteering at a local shelter for abandoned and street dogs. Your help is crucial in providing care and improving the lives of over 100 dogs currently housed at the shelter. The shelter receives no support from the government or NGOs, making your contributions vital.
Volunteer Activities:
- Feeding: Ensure the dogs receive proper nutrition.
- Grooming: Help wash and groom the dogs.
- Exercise: Walk the dogs and provide them with much-needed exercise.
- Shelter Maintenance: Assist in cleaning and improving the shelter facilities.
Urgent Needs:
- Donations: Food, clothing, and other supplies are urgently needed.
- Veterinary Assistance: Vet students and professionals are needed for sterilizations and medical treatments.
Background: Huancayo City has over 12,000 street dogs, highlighting the critical need for volunteer support. Your involvement can make a significant impact on the lives of these animals.

Volunteer Schedule
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, either from 8 AM to 1 PM or from 2 PM to 7 PM.
Volunteer Period and Certification
Commitment: The minimum volunteer commitment is one month, with the option to extend your stay in weekly increments.
Certification: Upon completion, you'll receive a certification signed by the shelter director and the volunteer program director. This certification can be valuable for internships and future job applications. References can also be provided upon request.
Funding and Program Costs
