  • This is an unpaid volunteer opportunity and as an Associate, you are required to contribute a minimum of 5 hours per week.
  • Associates must be willing to attend virtual meetings in EST Timezone and be responsive to emails within 36 hours.
  • STW(tm) will provide a "letter of recommendation" to volunteers, students & professionals who are able to showcase outstanding performance for school/university credit and for professional references.

Save the Water(tm) is a U.S.-based nonprofit organization whose mission is to conduct water research to identify and remove harmful contaminants in water; and to raise public awareness about water contamination and its health impacts. STW(tm) also offers educational programs to excite young minds about water science.

Our volunteers are diverse professionals from all over the world bringing their knowledge and experience to STW(tm) because we care deeply about our communities and water resources. The Role:

This role will report to the Project Leader: Process Design and will assist in analysing the operation of the Electroflocculation equipment (E-FLOC) . The Associate role is a remote/virtual opportunity.

What you will be responsible for.....

  • Assist the Project Leader in the research and statistical analysis.
  • Help in the documentation of the various processes.
  • Researching on topics related to water & wastewater treatment process.
  • Attend weekly/monthly meetings as per schedule.

  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and details simultaneously.
  • Knowledge or Experience in water and wastewater treatment design.
  • Good understanding of water/wastewater treatment process including biological treatment.
  • A graduate in Biological or Chemical or Environmental Engineer with a zeal to learn.
  • Effective oral communication skills and a clear, courteous and professional manner.
  • Good writing and editing skills
  • Focused attention to detail and follow through
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and details simultaneously
