Do you want to make a difference?

We're about to make it easy to see all the best ideas on Earth for any problem with any thing, (real or conceptual). And we're packing it with tools for citizens and experts to collaborate. At first we won't have a lot of resources so our goal will be to focus on the ideas we can implement. But as we build steam people will be setting their sights on bigger and bigger things.

We'll be having bi-monthly meetings everyone is encouraged to attend if they can, to help folks get to know each other and start collaborating on ideas.

After years of work we're almost done programming all of this, but for all our nice software, (which I will happily demo for you), we still don't have anyone who's good with video. That's where you come in. We want to crowdfund this project, we have no investors and we want to shun all forms of advertising. With a really good video people have managed to raise millions for indie video games and we feel Needpedia is at least equally as interesting and useful as that, so if you succeed, this could totally lead to long-term employment. As we'll always need someone around to cover media and marketing. Whether you’re a filmmaker, editor, animator, or a "networker" who connects us with talent and resources, your work will ultimately empower working class people all over the world.

Choose Your Focus:

  • Create: Film/edit short docs, animations, or social media clips (we’ll provide raw content/stories).
  • Curate: Help us find, onboard, and/or mentor other video specialists.
  • Support: Organize assets, storyboard, or streamline workflows.

Why Volunteer With Us?

  • Impact Over Hype: Once we get started established your job will be to showcase people's dreams for a better world.
  • Flexible & Autonomous: No rigid deadlines--set "check-back dates" using our task-card system (no pressure).
  • Build Your Portfolio: Add a leadership role (e.g., "Video Director for Social Impact Nonprofit") to your resume/LinkedIn.
  • Shape a Tool for Equity: Collaborate directly with the founder to design a video strategy that avoids tokenism.

Ideal Candidates:

  • You’re skilled in video editing, animation, or storytelling for social impact.
  • You care about ethical storytelling (you're fed up with social exploitation and want to empower people to organize more efficiently).
  • You thrive in a no-pressure environment because you're motivated to make an impact.

Apply If You:

  • Have a portfolio (or passion) for visual storytelling.
  • Want to experiment with formats that make complex ideas accessible (no corporate fluff!).
  • Like the idea of leading a project or mentoring others.

How to Apply:

Send:

  1. A link to your portfolio/work samples (or describe your style).
  2. A word or two about how you’d like this process to work for you.
