Wolf Performing Arts Center in Bryn Mawr, PA, is a nonprofit focused on enriching the lives of young people through theatre experiences. They provide quality classes, lessons, main stage performances, summer camps, and workshops led by professional teaching artists specializing in various performing arts disciplines.
Role Description
This is a part-time volunteer role for a Board of Directors Member at Wolf Performing Arts Center. The Board Member will actively participate in board meetings, provide strategic guidance and oversight, support fundraising efforts, and contribute to the organization's overall growth and success.
We are currently in need of additional Subject Matter Experts specifically in the areas of:
- Development / Fundraising
- Real Estate / Facilities
- Marketing and Community Engagement
- Arts and Culture Advocacy
- Human Resources
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and REQUIREMENTS
- Attend Board meetings
- Stay informed about the organization’s mission, vision, services, policies and programs
- Serve on at least 1 committee and carry out special assignments as requested
- Act as spokesperson for the organization
- Make a personally meaningful financial contribution to the organization;
- Follow conflict of interest and confidentiality policies;
- Assist the Board in carrying out its fiduciary responsibilities, such as reviewing the organization’s annual
financial statements;
- Serve a three-year term on the Board with the option for re-election.
- Attend one or more special functions and fundraising events.
- Attend at least 2 Wolf PAC performances.
- Agree to a criminal background check.
- Stay informed, ask questions, and request information.
- Participate in and take responsibility for making decisions on issues, policies, and other board matters.
