Become A Volunteer For WAFA (Water Air Food Awards)

WAFA is a volunteer-based NGO headquartered in Copenhagen, Denmark. Our main activities are to identify, recognize and award community initiatives that address basic needs and collaborate with nature. By doing this, we give a voice to otherwise unknown and unheard heroes.

We are seeking an experienced Recruitment Specialist to join our volunteer team and lead our recruitment efforts. This role will be instrumental in managing the end-to-end recruitment cycle, ensuring we attract, assess, and onboard talented individuals aligned with our mission and values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full recruitment cycle, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding candidates.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers or team leads to identify recruitment needs and define role requirements.
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified candidates.
  • Leverage job boards, social media platforms, and professional networks for talent acquisition.
  • Review applications and resumes to identify top candidates.
  • Conduct initial interviews and provide recommendations to hiring managers.
  • Create and post compelling job descriptions that align with the organization's mission.
  • Maintain a database of candidates and track the progress of open positions.
  • Support the onboarding process by ensuring new volunteers or employees have the necessary resources and information to succeed.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance the recruitment process.
  • Stay updated on recruitment trends and best practices.

We expect you to:

  • 3-5 years of recruitment or talent acquisition experience
  • Strong knowledge of recruitment best practices and tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple positions and deadlines effectively.
  • Have availability of 8-10 hours per week minimum

It goes without saying that you enjoy working with people, are a team player, self-driven and well organised.

You will be working remotely and require access to a computer with fast internet connection. We communicate via emails and video calls.
