Recruiting Organization: STEM Montessori Academy of Canada
STEM Montessori Academy of Canada (SMAC-SIAC) is a registered not-for-profit organization specializing in science, technology, engineering, and math. (STEM) programming is open to all students with the mission to deliver top-notch STEM literacy and application. The SMAC will specialize in an advanced bar-none. STEM-based educational curriculum that emphasizes the interconnected subject areas of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM)
We are expanding our programming to industry-specific, hands-on experiences. We require a Accessibility Coordinators volunteer to help us keep the momentum going in support of the growth and development of these programs. We ask you to join us in continuing to serve the youth in our community.
Location: Remote
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate current programs, materials, and digital content for accessibility.
- Conduct accessibility audits to identify areas for improvement.
- Provide training and resources to staff and volunteers on accessibility standards and practices.
- Engage with the community to understand their accessibility needs and preferences.
Qualifications:
- Basic understanding of accessibility concepts
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to identify and address accessibility barriers.
- Ability to find creative solutions to accessibility challenges.
