Description ROCKBlue is seeking a Philanthropy Ambassador for our dynamic non-profit organization. The Philanthropy Ambassador will provide support to ROCKBlue’s Fundraising team. The Philanthropy Ambassador is a key member of the fundraising team responsible for developing and implementing strategies to foster donor relationships, express appreciation, and ensure donor retention. This role involves creating a culture of gratitude within the organization and actively engaging with past donors to sustain their support and loyalty. The Philanthropy Ambassador plays a pivotal role in enhancing the donor experience and promoting a positive image of the organization.This individual might also participate in other fundraising activities, including database management. ROCKBlue is a non-profit that aims to solve the growing gap between reliable water supply and accelerating urban demand by leveraging its large network of highly experienced specialists. We focus on strengthening the ability of water and sanitation utilities to provide these services to the poorest individuals in cities and towns across the developing world. As Philanthropy Ambassador, you will directly and indirectly assist ROCKBlue in reaching its mission, impacting the lives of millions of people. Within our organization you will learn invaluable communication skills and work with a diverse group of people, situated around the world. The growing nature of our organization offers many opportunities for advancement as well as exposure to many business activities. Responsibilities- Develop and implement a comprehensive donor engagement strategy that includes regular communication and expressions of gratitude.
- Ensure timely and personalized thank-you messages and acknowledgments to donors.
- Plan and execute donor recognition activities to cultivate donor relationships and enhance their connection with the organization.
- Monitor donor feedback and sentiment to inform improvements in donor stewardship efforts.
- Prepare donor thank yous for ROCKBlue president’s approval and assist in preparing written donor updates. Provide a high standard of donor care in all donor communications
- Maintain donor records in Salesforce software and ensure regular contact with them
- Prepare communications, such as memos, emails, reports and other correspondence as requested
- Draft case studies and gather quotes from key donors/sponsors about value derived from sponsoring ROCKBlue events..
- Prior experience in fundraising, communications, and/or public relations
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Marketing, Communications, or Nonprofit Management.
- Previous experience in donor relations, fundraising, or a related field.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to build rapport and maintain positive relationships.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure timely and accurate donor interactions.
- Passion for philanthropy, empathy, and a genuine appreciation for the impact of donor support on the organization's mission.
- Software skills with a preference for Google Workspace, and the ability to learn Salesforce, Trello, Slack and Clockify
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
- A stable Internet connection
Approximately 4-6 hours per week.
